The primary responsibility of a Material Controls Specialist is to use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting of incoming and outgoing material while following shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Activities also include supporting the material management team with ad hoc expedition, tracking, and material management. This person will be responsible for all duties related to receiving, shipping and stockroom.

The candidate must be familiar with the use of an ERP System and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel.
*This position is part-time, typically working 20 - 25 hours / week Monday through Friday during normal business hours with possibility of fluctuation in hours as needed by department. *
Pay Range: The pay range for this part-time Washington-based role is $25-$27/Hour. Exact compensation offers will vary based on skills, experience/education level, and location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving:
· Verify incoming receipts for discrepancies and/or damage
· Maintain daily receiving logs
· Locate inventory in Stockroom
· Process PO receipts in ERP system
· Maintain accurate and orderly receiving files
· Notify or distribute incoming non-inventory receipts to appropriate personnel
· Resolve any incoming discrepancies with purchasing and finance
· Assist with tracking and customs
Shipping:
· Pull and pack outgoing shipments
· Verify shipments and paperwork for accuracy
· Maintain daily shipment logs
· Prepare shipments using UPS, FedEx or DHL software/online
· Maintain accurate and orderly shipping files
· Notify appropriate personnel of shipment detail and tracking information
Materials:
· Maintain neat and orderly Stockroom
· Organize incoming material for easy retrieval
· Understanding of Bill of Materials and production process
· Pull and kit material as needed for production
· Communicate any shortages or stock discrepancies to planning
· Transact material issues in ERP system
· Return unused production material to stock
· Receive Finished Goods into stock from production and organize in Stores
· Replenish shipping and cleanroom supplies as needed
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Strong sense of time organization and urgency
· Able to work independently and within a team
· Knowledge of UPS, FedEx and DHL shipping system/software
· Microsoft Office – Excel proficiency
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to manage 40-50 lb boxes
· Operate a pallet jack and dolly
· Reaching for, stocking, and pulling inventory
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
· 1 year logistics experience
· 1 year working experience with an ERP system (Netsuite, Oracle, SAP)
· International shipping experience and general understanding of Customs operations and requirements
