Material Handler

Description

Britton Lumber Company, a regional building materials wholesaler, has an immediate opening for a warehouse material handler or forklift operator at our Gray, ME location. This person will be responsible for picking orders, palletizing materials, assisting warehouse staff, loading and unloading of materials between warehouses, assistance in organization and cleaning of warehouse, and general yard and warehouse maintenance as needed. Forklift experience is a plus, but not required and we are willing to train the right candidate on a forklift. 

This is a job that requires working outdoors both inside and outside warehouses. Lifting approximately 50 or more pounds is a daily activity.

This is seasonal, part-time or full-time position.  The candidate must be willing to work 4 mornings per week Monday-Friday to be elidable for this position if you are considering being hired as a part-time employee. Full-Time employees can expect approximately 38-45 hours of work per week. Traditional overtime of time-and-a-half is paid based on a 40hr work week.

Wage depends on experience.
