JOB SUMMARY and KEY OBJECTIVES To assist the Warehouse Manager as directed with day-to-day activities with an emphasis on Shipping, Receiving, Housekeeping and Production support to meet or exceed food safety storage standards and to meet the company’s Stock Rotation Program; to work in a team environment to relate and communicate effectively within the context of BBF MASSACHUSETTS LLC culture and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping: 1. Picks and palletizes orders as directed by proper shipping procedures and customer specified requests listed in the shipping notes of the order pick-ticket, while also ensuring order accuracy and Stock Rotation Program protocols. a. All orders are verified for accuracy prior to shipping.
2. Prepares all outgoing shipments with the appropriate pallet wrapping and labeling according to customer need and safe/effective transportation.
3. Prepares pallets for shuttle transfer offsite with proper wrapping and labeling.
4. Must be able to drive the company Box Truck between buildings to transfer products and supplies.
5. Follow all procedures to effectively and accurately create any necessary paperwork with regards to any outgoing shipments or transfers.
Receiving:
1. Responsible for the proper INSPECTION of all POs for incoming materials and raw ingredients as related to: Accuracy, Documentation, Quality, Pest Control and food grade safety and security.
2. Responsible for conducting FIFO practices in the labeling, staging, handling and storage of raw materials received from supplier shipments.
3. Responsible for proper warehousing storage of all incoming materials and raw ingredients as it pertains to FIFO, Organic segregation and safe Allergen storage protocols.
Production Support:
1. Ensures access to all raw materials needed by production staff.
2. Picks/Kit’s all recipes and stages for production use.
3. Replenishes all pick locations with the appropriate amount of raw ingredients or packaging materials based on FIFO and/or Production needs (Drops).
Housekeeping and Sanitation:
a. Maintains an effective and orderly warehouse environment on a daily basis.
b. Follows all sanitation procedures and general tidiness including Daily sweeping, Trash Removal, Dusting, Floor Scrubbing, Mopping and Snow shoveling as needed.
Safety:
1. Complies with all regulatory and company policies regarding safe operation of all equipment.
a. Must be trained through the company training program in order to operate PIT equipment.
b. Maintain the safe and proper use of all warehouses powered industrial equipment.
c. Report all faulty equipment to the Warehouse manager and/or to the Maintenance department.
2. Completes incident report and assures timely communication of these issues to Manager or management team.
Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements: Including but not limited to the following:
Environment: Production, warehouse, and office areas, movement throughout and outside the facility.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 75-pound bags to shoulder height and carry them for a short distance; must be able to lift up to 10,000 pounds over the course of an eight-hour shift. Walking, stooping, lifting, wrapping pallets, sitting, standing, reaching, repetitive movements, kneeling, and crouching. Must have ability to work in seasonal temperature variances in unheated and non-air-conditioned areas of the plant.
Equipment Used: Including but not limited to the following: electric and manual pallet movers, fork truck, automated pallet wrapper, computer, calculator, and digital scale.

To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitude to perform each duty proficiently. Third Shift is Sunday night - Friday morning 10:50 pm - 7:20 am, with occasional overtime. The starting pay rate is $19.00 plus 2 Dollar shift differential.
