Mathnasium - Math Instructor

We’re hiring Math Instructors for the 2025–2026 school year, with positions starting in August 2025.

(Please note that this is not a summer-only position—we are looking for team members who can continue through the academic year.)

About the Role:

We’re looking for bright, ambitious individuals with strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of math concepts. As a Mathnasium Instructor, you’ll work in a supportive team environment and receive comprehensive training on our proprietary Mathnasium Method. You’ll deliver engaging and effective math instruction to students of all ages in a small group setting.

You’ll help foster a positive learning experience, interact with students and parents to build confidence and demonstrate the value of the program, and support student progress tracking in collaboration with the Center Director and fellow team members.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of arithmetic and algebra


• Excellent work ethic


• Willingness to learn


• Within one year of earning your high school diploma


• Available to work at least 3 weekdays (4 preferred)

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with children as a tutor, teacher, or instructor


• Pursuing a degree in education, math, science, or a related field


• Ability to teach up to Algebra 1 (Geometry is a plus)


• Strong classroom or group management skills


• Ability to build rapport with students and parents


• Clear communication skills with students, families, and team members


• Organized and detail-oriented


• Leadership experience is a plus

Center Hours (Fall Schedule):

Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm to 6:45pm

Session 1: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Session 2: 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm

Session 3: 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Session 4: 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm

Friday: 2:00pm to 5:30pm

Session 1: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Session 2: 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm

Session 3: 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

This is an in-person, part-time position based in Glendora, CA, with instructors typically working 12–20 hours per week. We aim to schedule as many shifts as you are available for.
