Job Title: Part-Time Recreational Therapist

Job Description:

Pineapple House of Naples is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time Recreational Therapist. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for our memory care residents through engaging and therapeutic activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong skill set in activities planning and implementation, with a commitment to fostering a supportive and enjoyable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement recreational therapy programs tailored to the needs and interests of memory care residents.

- Facilitate engaging activities that promote cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being.

- Collaborate with the care team to assess residents' needs and track progress.

- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation and social interaction.

- Maintain a safe and organized activity space.

Qualifications:

- Passion for working with individuals with memory care needs.

- Experience in recreational therapy or related fields is preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Flexible availability to work from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Skills:

- Knowledge of recreational therapy techniques and best practices.

- Creativity in designing and implementing activities.

- Strong organizational skills.

- Empathy and patience in working with residents.

- Ability to motivate and engage residents in activities.
