Medical Assistant

Fast-paced Dermatology offices are seeking an energetic, team-oriented, Certified Medical Assistant. This role will predominantly be rotating between our Oakmont & Healdsburg locations with some time spent at the Santa Rosa office as well. Must be willing to travel.

Medical Assistant's duties include rooming patients, giving injections, scribing, and clinically assisting Physicians and Nurse Practitioner during skin exams, surgery, non-invasive cosmetic procedures, and administrative tasks including noting patient visit details in Electronic Medical Record software (EMR) and following-up with patients regarding test results, as well as other duties relevant to a medical office.

The ideal candidate has relevant experience, is certified, and eager to learn about Dermatology.

• Rooming patients
• Administering IM injections
• Scribing for Physicians and Nurse Practitioner during visits
• Setting up and assisting during surgical and cosmetic procedures including Mohs Surgery
• Suture removing 
• Stocking and sanitizing rooms
• Autoclaving instruments
• Communicating biopsy, prescription, and lab results to patients
• Maintaining pathology log
• Scheduling patient’s surgical procedures
• Administering Photodynamic Therapy
  
   

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Confident with Sterile technique
• Eager to learn about Dermatology in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Comfortable using various computer programs and Electronic Medical Record systems
• Lead MA experience is a plus

Job Type:

• Part-time, hours will vary
• Travel between our Santa Rosa, Healdsburg and Oakmont locations is required

Experience:

• 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
• Candidates with Dermatology experience are more competitive in this role

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications/Licenses:

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant preferred
