Medical Assistant I Or II

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One year’s experience in alcohol and drug addiction treatment, recovery, or prevention.  If in recovery, approved amount of time in continuous sobriety.  Basic training or education as a medical assistant, medical technician, EMT or nurse’s aid.

DESCRIPTION

Responsible for facilitating the operation of a Sobering Center, serving the special needs of program participants involved with the behavior health or criminal justice system, who are under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Provide medical observation and substance abuse referral. Maintain safe, cooperative, caring atmosphere.

NOTE: Employees will be required to fingerprinted and will be subject to clearance by the department of Justice.
