Medical Assistant - Weekday Days 1st Shift

 Isaiah House recognizes that individuals we serve who are recovering from substance use disorders will have physical needs. To facilitate recovery that focuses on dimensional wellness of the mind, body, and spirit, medical care is available to clients. The medical assistant is a resource in facilitating medical care.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

· A current, valid, and unrestricted license, diploma, or certification as a Medical     Assistant (MA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred but not required. Candidates with comparable skill sets from other healthcare professions—such as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), respiratory therapists, or similar roles—will also be considered.

· Prefer at least 2 years of experience with license/certification. 

· Prefer knowledge of recovery, mental health and other co-occurring disorders and experience in working with addiction in a     residential and/or outpatient setting. 

· Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills. Can be post hire. 

· Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. 

· Valid Kentucky driver’s license is preferred.

· American Heart Association CPR certification- Can be post hire.
