We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. The Medical Records Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and organizing patient medical records in accordance with established procedures and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain patient medical records in accordance with established procedures and regulations
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient medical records
- Scan and upload all documents into the electronic health record
- Respond to requests for medical records in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain confidentiality of patient medical records
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in medical records management preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
