We are searching for a dedicated Medical Technologist who is excited to build relationships and help improve patients' lives by working towards a cure for their allergic disease. You will be responsible for running the allergy program in this office. This includes but is not limited to conducting skin allergy tests, creating immunotherapy treatment serum, assisting patients through their course of treatment, educating patients, giving immunotherapy injections, and completing all necessary documentation. This position is located in Landsdowne, VA. Take pride in your work from getting to run your allergy program and knowing that you are truly improving the quality of patients’ lives! This position is part-time. **Dependability is extremely important for this role.** 

Duties:

• Performing complex laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and transfusion medicine.


• Interacting with pathologists, clinicians, laboratory staff, residents, and students for the purpose of providing assistance and support during laboratory testing and training sessions. External contacts include staff from various accrediting organizations and regulatory agencies.


• Monitoring quality assurance procedures and ensuring compliance with lab safety protocols.


• Utilizing reagents and supplies according to the manufacturer and/or procedural instructions.


• Performing advanced equipment trouble-shooting and maintenance responsibilities.


• Using sophisticated laboratory equipment and computer systems for data entry, results analysis, and reporting.

• Bachelor's Degree or greater

Nice to Have:

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant


• Additional languages besides English
  

What We Offer:

• Full, paid training and certification in allergy testing and immunotherapy


• $18.00 - $23.00 per hour (pay is dependent on experience)
