PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $26.00-$32.12 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. As a part-time Member Consultant II, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless and high-quality member experience. Your expertise in BECU’s products will allow you to identify, diagnose, and address members’ consumer financial needs and refer them to specialized services when necessary. You will serve as a subject matter expert, resolving our members' needs and providing expertise in specialized financial services.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Exceptional Member Experience and Sales Consultation:
Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales, including areas of business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts.
Sign all line and loan documents that originate through outbound/inbound call center, ensuring each Member’s needs are fulfilled.
Assisting the community with financial wellness: This could involve financial education programs, assistance with budgeting, debt management, or access to financial planning resources.

About This Role & Expectations:
This part-time role is within BECU’s East District. Additional details provided if moved forward in the hiring process.
Branch: Issaquah
One-Year Commitment: All Retail new hires are expected to remain in this part-time role, branch, and part-time schedule for a minimum of one year before pursuing other opportunities within BECU - this includes applying to full-time roles
Training: Training will include travel to the Tukwila Financial Center
Travel Required: The ability to commute between the Issaquah branch & training location is required
Flexibility Required: Schedules are typically given 30 days in advance but you may be asked to adapt to varying schedules and is based on business needs
12-Week Training Schedule:
After training, part-time Member Consultants are scheduled an average of 24 hours a week during any of the branch operating hours. These hours are subject to change due to business need:
Wednesday - 11:15am-6:15pm
Thursday - 11:15am-6:15pm
Friday - 11:15am-6:15pm
Every Saturday is required – 8:45am-1:15pm

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
Minimum two years of experience in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environment
Desired Qualifications:
One year of experience in a financial institution
Spanish language fluency highly desirable
Thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently
Strong proficiency and comfort level with learning new systems and programs; with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
Ability to successfully complete 12-week in-house training program after hire
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, product and service solutions
Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products and services offered.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills to enable daily communication with Members
Problem resolution, negotiating, organization, multi-tasking and peer coaching skills
Ability to work flexible shifts
