General Responsibilities: Daily operation of postage meter equipment.  

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Sort and prepare unmetered mail as necessary, report quality problems to the metering team leader.
• Operate postage machine and accounting terminal accurately.
• Record any spoilage or mistakes on the account tape for correction by the metering team leader.
• Perform quality checks on finished mail before release to MLOCR.
• Process mail efficiently to meet MLOCR cut-off time.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or department head.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.
• Report to work as scheduled.

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED.
