Millwright- Dayshift

JOB SUMMARY:

The Millwright will have a strong mechanical background and the ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment. The Millwright will have expertise in welding, fabrication, and general mechanical systems, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Welding & Fabrication: Weld pipe and use a torch as needed; fabricate conveyor belts and other mechanical components.
• Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Work with gearboxes, bearings, and other machinery components; troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
• Tools & Equipment: Use all hand tools, battery-powered tools, and heavy equipment, including manlifts telehandlers and skid loaders.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance such as greasing, oil changes, and general cleanup.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks.
• Flexibility & Availability: Willing to work weekends, long hours, and respond to short notice work requirements based on production demands.
• Work at Heights: Must be comfortable working at elevated heights when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience as a Millwright or similar mechanical role

Strong knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication

Experience with conveyor belts, gearboxes, and bearings

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems

Proficient in using various hand and power tools

Experience operating manlifts telehandlers and skid loaders

Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Certification in welding or millwright trade (preferred but not required)

Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.

The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.

Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 90 pounds.

Ability to work at heights on aerial lifts, stepladders and/or extension ladders.
