MOKA is hiring enthusiastic, positive, and customer-focused baristas to join our team at our Madison West Side locations (University Avenue, Mineral Point, and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Bookstore). As a barista, you will be responsible for crafting delicious beverages, building relationships with customers, and working in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

Full and part-time positions available. The ideal candidate for this job is an individual who has a positive energy, loves interacting with guests and making their day better, and has a passion for great coffee. 

The University Avenue location is currently looking for mid-morning to early afternoon availability.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Bookstore is currently looking for late morning to early afternoon availability. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee-based beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences


• Ensure consistent quality in every cup, paying attention to details such as temperature, presentation, and taste


• Provide excellent customer service, greeting and assisting customers with their orders, and offering recommendations


• Operate coffee equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders, while following safety and sanitation procedures


• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including regular cleaning of equipment and restocking supplies


• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently


• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and maintain a positive work environment
