We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Part-Time Morning Administrative Assistant to join our team at our early childhood center in Eagan. This role is ideal for retirees, stay-at-home parents, or individuals seeking a rewarding position with a fixed morning schedule, leaving afternoons free. You will support daily operations by greeting parents, assisting with child and family drop-off needs, and providing administrative support to our leadership team. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet parents and families during morning drop-off, addressing their needs with professionalism and care. Assist with child drop-off procedures, ensuring a smooth and safe transition for children.
- Answer phone calls, respond to basic inquiries, and relay messages to leadership staff. Greet visitors and monitor classroom codes to support classroom needs.
- Step into classrooms as needed for temporary teacher coverage, such as supervising children or assisting with activities.
- Frequently serve as the initial point of contact for parents or staff seeking leadership, coordinating requests or directing them appropriately.
- Perform general office tasks, including filing, data entry, tracking schedules, and organizing paperwork. Maintain a tidy and welcoming front desk area.
- Assist with child-related needs during drop-off, such as helping with coats or bags, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment. Respond calmly and effectively in potential emergency situations.
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and leadership to ensure seamless operations and a positive experience for families.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in administrative roles, customer service, or early childhood settings preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation with demonstrated regular attendance.
- Must have CPR and First Aid certification; we will provide initial and recurring training as necessary.
- Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children to support their well-being during drop-off and interactions.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling children for programs, ensuring child safety, and responding to potential emergency situations.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check
- Basic proficiency with office tools and ability to learn internal systems (e.g., attendance software, intercom).
