Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-site inspections for new construction and substantial rehabilitation of multi-family properties

• Evaluate units for compliance with HUD Housing Quality Standards (HQS)

• Complete inspection reports and required documentation in accordance with HUD and company guidelines

• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with property owners, contractors, and clients

• Educate contractors and property owners regarding program requirements and inspection results

• Attend company training and adhere to all policies and directives

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively work with clients and contractors

• Willingness to travel for inspections

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Education & Experience

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree OR

• ICC certification, engineering license, or architectural license OR

• At least 5 years of experience in multifamily housing inspection is required

Compensation

$30 – $60 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
