Job Title: Music Director, Protestant Chapel
Location: Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Fort Myer, VA

Duties:

Lead congregation in worship, playing the piano/keyboard/organ.
Coordinate musical selections with volunteers, contracted vocalists, musicians, and congregational coordinator.
Maintain confidentiality of personal information in accordance with privacy policies.
Present a neat, clean, well-groomed, modest, and business-like appearance.
Communicate and behave professionally and courteously.
Collaborate with Chaplains, Religious Affairs Specialists, and other team members.
Provide support for services not covered by Unit Ministry Team members.
Develop and maintain an effective quality control program.

Qualifications:

Music Director shall possess a master’s degree in sacred music, Musical Performance, or related field.
Proficiency in various musical styles including Contemporary, Protestant, Pentecostal, Gospel, traditional, hymnic, choral, contemporary Christian, and liturgical music.
Ability to perform musical pieces both by reading sheet music and by ear.
Proficient in both written notation and aural interpretation.
