Job Description - Music Teacher- Part Time (5-8 hours a week)

The Goddard School of Plainfield-Shorewood is seeking a part-time Music Teacher to join our team. At our School, we put our teachers first because they put our students first. As a Music Teacher, you will collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers to implement an engaging music lesson/experience for Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten students. This pivotal role includes classroom support, curriculum enhancement and adapting dynamically to meet the evolving educational needs of our school community.

Resource Teacher Key Responsibilities:

Enhance music plans and activities in collaboration with Lead and Assistant Teachers

Provide flexible classroom support for a seamless educational experience

Organize engaging music materials

Offer personalized attention and foster an inclusive classroom environment

Communicate transparently with Lead Teachers children's progress and achievements

Maintain clean and inviting classrooms adhering to health and safety standards

Promote a nurturing learning environment

Qualifications:

Shows empathy and compassion for young children

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children and families

Experience with music and creating lessons
