We are currently interviewing reliable part-time candidates for our open PT Nanny position in Bluemont, VA!SEEKING: PART-TIME NANNY IN BLUEMONT, VA FOR ONE 1 YEAR OLD BOY. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS NANNY EXPERIENCE!
General Job Details & Responsibilities:
- Care and nurture of 1 one-year old boy while parents are working
- In keeping a positive environment, we ask for no swearing
- 1 senior aged dog in the home. Dad typically cares for pet himself while he works from home. Any required care for the pet is rarely expected. If ever there was a need, it would simply be to just assist the pet outside to relieve himself in Dad’s absence
- Light household duties solely related to the child — since this is part-time the main focus is providing childcare
- Assist with basic activities of daily living needs such as meal prep/eating, timely diaper changes/potty training & toileting when child becomes of age, dressing (weather appropriate clothing), and regulation of nap times.
- Support social development by helping child to problem solve as needed
- Maintain clean and organized play areas
- Note when household items are out or getting low
Preferences:
- 1 year commitment
- Reliable & Punctual
- Comfortable with work from home parent(s)
- Comfortable with cameras in the home
- Effective Communication Skills
- Pediatric-Adult CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain prior to hire)
- Flexibility requested as the family’s schedule has potential to change
Schedule:
- Start date: July 29, 2024 (or sooner)
- Availability Monday-Wednesday: 7:00 am-3:00 pm
- Occasional earlier mornings needed (4:30am as an earliest case scenario) 1x per month totaling 9-9.5 hrs on days hours needs to be flexed
- Family tries to mitigate the nanny needing to adjust the schedule that early, but if needed, family will typically give 3-4 weeks notice for the earlier start times
Compensation:
- Negotiable, depending on experience (DOE)
- W-2 position
- Paid time off for the following major holidays when the holiday falls on a scheduled work day:
- New Year’s Day
- Presidents Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving DayChristmas Day
- Vacation Time: 4 days (32 hours) per 12 months of service.
- Hours are earned in increments of 4 hours per pay period (bi-weekly), until the maximum of 32 hours earned within the 12 months of service has been reached.
- Sick time: 1 day (8 hours) per 12 months of service.
- Total hours are provided 30 days from the start of service
- Unpaid Leave, for emergencies when balance of other leave time is unavailable.
Other:
- Nanny-family contract utilized in defining and maintaining clear expectations
