NEXT GEN WORSHIP LEADER
REPORTS TO: NEXT GEN PASTOR
RELATES CLOSELY WITH: WORSHIP DEPARTMENT, STUDENT PASTORS, COLLEGE DIRECTOR
CLASSIFICATION: PART TIME//UP TO 25 HOURS
PAY RANGE: $25/HR
WestGate Church, a non-denominational, multi-congregational church situated in one of the most diverse and influential regions of the world—the Silicon Valley— is seeking an energetic, skilled Worship Leader to execute outstanding worship experiences for our Students and College Ministries, effectively reaching those far from God to learn and live the way of Jesus together. This part time role involves collaborating with the Worship Department to execute outstanding services in alignment with our Student and College Playbook. This part-time role (Sunday - Thursday) may require occasional work on Fridays and Saturdays as well as evening hours.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in worship leading and/or instrumentalist in worship band, including ability to read music or chord charts.
- Positive, professional, self-starter with the ability to organize, adjust, and prioritize responsibilities and projects with minimal direction.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality, handling situations with discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Able to assist in leading rehearsals.
- Some computer skills i.e. Google Apps, Planning Center, Garage Band, ProPresenter
- Superior communication skills written and verbal
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute a quality worship experience for Saratoga Middle School Ministry on Sunday mornings. This includes selecting the setlist, recruiting and scheduling musicians, communicating with musicians as well as teachers, leading rehearsals and the worship gathering.
- Plan and execute a quality worship experience for High School Ministry at Saratoga on Sunday nights. This includes selecting the setlist, recruiting and scheduling musicians, communicating with musicians as well as teachers, leading rehearsals and the worship gathering.
- Plan and execute a quality worship experience for College Age Ministry at Saratoga on Thursday nights. This includes selecting the setlist, recruiting and scheduling musicians, communicating with musicians as well as teachers, leading rehearsals and the worship gathering.
- Occasionally assist in leading all-staff worship on the first Tuesday of each month.
- Help lead the all-campus worship gatherings for students on Wednesday nights (6 times a year).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
