Nurse (RN) - Part Time

Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in supervising medical services within the Senior Resources Adult Day Care Center.  As a Registered Nurse for Seniors, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our elderly patients.  

This is a position with flexible day hours of 20-25 hours per week.

- Coordinating and/or delegating treatment

- Health screenings and monitoring of participant status

- Providing general health and nursing guidance of services for staff

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

- Monitor and record vital signs and medical information

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans

- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families

- Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records of all services provided  

Requirements

- Active Iowa Registered Nurse license

- Experience in geriatric nursing is preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

-Adherence to HIPAA standards and procedures

- Familiarity with electronic medical records
