Nurse Supervisor

UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Supervisor who will be responsible for providing nursing services to the clients of our eldercare adult day program. This part-time position will be 24 hours per week working 3 days between Monday and Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.  The days may vary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess and address the needs of clients and escalate any concerns to the appropriate parties
• Administer treatments and medications to clients at the center as ordered by their healthcare provider
• Provide personal care assistance to clients and assists with other program needs (i.e. meals, recreation as necessary.)
• Coordinate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive the best possible care
• Screen prospective residents and collect data to determine appropriateness of admission to the program; coordinate all admissions and discharges; maintain and update waiting list 
• Provide training and education to staff to maintain high standards of care

• Active CT nursing license (RN or LPN) and current CPR certification 
• At least 3 to 5 years' experience working with eldercare population.  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
