Develop and maintain collaborations with researchers within industry university and government.
Design, conduct and coordinate analytical studied of specific food component and of animal-based food studies at MAFCL assuring that research protocols are followed in all aspect of studies.
Document the studies' procedures and results in the form of scientific manuscripts, reports, abstracts, posters and databases.
Sample collection, cooking, processing for nutrient analyses, statistical applications, reporting results for each nutrient within each treatment(Raw and cooked) and investigation of nutrient variability due to animal husbandry and fisheries management practices, weather or seasonal condition, feed, breed/species, geography, etc.
The Analyst is needed to conduct data analysis, prepare datasets for the nutrient database, provide MAFCL data in response to inquiries from scientist and the public and provide tools and other applications of the data.
Prepare and present research results at professional meetings and for publication.
Qualifications :
10 or years or more of experience in iodine, purines, nitrate/nitrites, glucosinolates and animal products in addition to development of nutrient databases used by the public.
