Job Description - Occupational Therapist

Description

Occupational Therapist (OT) – Join a Recognized, Mission-Driven Team
The Columbia Presbyterian Community – Columbia, SC
In-House Therapy Model | Faith-Based Nonprofit | Skilled Nursing & Senior Living

Recognized for Excellence in Rehab

The Columbia Presbyterian Community has once again been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for delivering outstanding skilled nursing care — earning a Best Nursing Homes Rating in Short-Term Rehabilitation. This national recognition reflects the exceptional outcomes made possible by our in-house therapy team and our commitment to doing what’s right for our residents. See our U.S. News Rating

Why Join Us?

At Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina (PCSC), we’ve designed an in-house therapy model that puts therapists first — prioritizing quality over quotas, mentorship over micromanagement, and innovation over routine.

We provide an environment where you’ll be supported, empowered, and inspired to grow — both personally and professionally.

Here’s what our therapists say:

  • “There’s a level of mutual respect at Columbia that I haven’t experienced elsewhere. I’m encouraged to problem-solve with leadership, and that’s made me feel like a partner in the care we provide — not just an employee." (Occupational Therapist)
  • “Being part of an in-house model here means we’re not at the mercy of outside decision-makers. We can adapt quickly and build real relationships. I’ve grown more as a therapist here in one year than I did in several years elsewhere.” (Physical Therapist)
  • “Mentoring students at Columbia has been so rewarding. It’s powerful to pass on what we’ve built here — our culture, our standards, our heart — and to help shape the future of therapy in senior living.” (Clinical Educator)

What Sets Columbia Apart?

  • In-House Therapy Team – Work in a stable, collaborative environment with no outside contracts or rotating rehab groups.
  • Award-Winning Care – Nationally recognized outcomes in short-term rehab and long-standing trust in the Columbia community.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration – Be part of a supportive care team that includes nursing, activities, and pastoral care.
  • Faith-Based, Nonprofit Mission – Our values guide every decision, and our focus is always on enriching lives—not hitting margins.

Support for Your Growth

We don’t just invest in outcomes—we invest in people. At Columbia, you’ll have access to:

  • Clinical Education & Mentorship Programs – Contribute to and learn from student training, with opportunities to supervise future clinicians.
  • Leadership Pathways & Career Advancement – From clinical specialties to management roles, we help you grow where you thrive.
  • Creative Program Development – Bring your ideas to life with leadership that supports therapist-led initiatives and innovation.

What We Offer

We support your well-being and future with a comprehensive benefit package:
