Occupational Therapist (OT) – San Ildefonso Day School

💼 Government Contract | Part-Time (Approx. 4 hrs/week, 36 weeks/year)
Augustine Angels LLC, a certified small business and trusted provider of education and health staffing services to federal and tribal agencies nationwide, is seeking a highly qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide on-site services at San Ildefonso Day School.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Native American students while working under a federal contract with the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE).
Position Highlights
Schedule: Approx. 4 hours per week, during the 36-week school year.
Caseload: 2–4 students annually, based on IEP needs.
Contract Term: Base year (Sept 2025 – Sept 2026) with up to 4 option years.
Location: On-site at San Ildefonso Day School, San Ildefonso Pueblo, NM.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and ongoing therapy for students with special needs.
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team reviews.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, document progress, and maintain student files.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
- Identify adaptive equipment/furniture needs and assist in requisition and inventory.
- Prepare and submit Occupational Therapy reports (up to 8 per year) within required timelines.
- Provide consultative services and barrier-free assessments as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional OT experience, including demonstrated work with Native American students.
License: Active New Mexico OT License (must be maintained throughout contract).
Certification: National Board Certification in OT (NBCOT) preferred, but not required.
Other Requirements:
- Must pass a federal background investigation (BIA/OPM) prior to assignment.
- Must provide proof of licensure, education, and experience.
- Strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work collaboratively with families and school staff.
