LPLC is a leader in educational nonprofits, providing one-on-one and small group support for learners navigating learning disabilities. We also offer academic and socio-emotional evaluations, as well as professional development for teachers. Since 1997, LPLC has empowered thousands of learners and educators.
As an Office Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of our office. You’ll be an important team member, helping our staff and clients feel welcomed and supported.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The Office Assistant helps create an organized, supportive, and welcoming environment for clients, staff, and visitors.
Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling, filing, data entry, and general office operations.
Customer Service: Greet clients and visitors, answer phones, and respond to basic inquiries with professionalism and warmth.
Office Operations: Help order and organize supplies, maintain common areas, and support facility needs.
Financial Support: Provide basic support with billing, payment processing, and recordkeeping.
Technology & Communication: Use office software such as MS Office to prepare documents, reports, and communications. Support staff with simple IT or office equipment troubleshooting (with vendor guidance if needed).
Minimum Qualifications
1–2 years of office or administrative experience (nonprofit experience a plus)
High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new software quickly
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Reliability, attention to detail, and a friendly, professional demeanor
Compensation
Hourly wage based on experience, education, and skills
Flexible part-time schedule in the afternoon M-TH (15-20 hours/week)
