Job Description - Onsite Operations Specialist - Part Time

In this role, you’ll be the face of our on-site operations—supporting customers, preparing vehicles, and keeping daily rental operations running smoothly. You’ll balance friendly, customer-facing interactions with hands-on, behind-the-scenes work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, motivated, and comfortable switching between helping customers and rolling up their sleeves to prep, move, and maintain vehicles.

What You’ll Do

Customer Service & Vehicle Processing

  • Greet and assist customers throughout the rental experience, including check-in, vehicle assignment, and returns
  • Prepare rental vehicles for drivers by fueling, cleaning, inspecting, and installing telematics and license plates
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety, readiness, and compliance
  • Manage and organize vehicle compliance and rental documentation

Operational Support

  • Organize and maintain the vehicle lot to ensure efficiency and accessibility
  • Coordinate vehicle transportation as needed
  • Complete daily rental operations tasks accurately and on time
  • Report vehicle issues, operational challenges, and system bugs to the designated point of contact

Standards & Communication

  • Deliver excellent customer service while upholding company service standards
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with on-site staff and remote support teams
  • Provide concise updates and maintain accurate records and documentation

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Outgoing and comfortable engaging with customers, while also able to work independently and stay focused on physical tasks
  • Enjoys hands-on work and being on their feet throughout the day
  • Prior experience working with vehicles, car detailing, outdoor work, or similar environments is a plus

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1+ year of experience in an in-person customer service role (retail, hospitality, technical support, or similar)
  • Familiarity with the local market area
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, solve problems, and de-escalate situations calmly
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate with a team
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including prolonged standing, walking, and moving vehicles

Pay Rate = $19 per hour

Part-time: 10+ hours per week

Assignment length = 8-week contract
