OPT Clinical Supervisor (full or part time)

Job Description - OPT Clinical Supervisor (full or part time)

Description

Make a Meaningful Difference in Your Community

At Alternative Wellness Services (AWS), we believe in meeting individuals exactly where they are—whether they're clients on their path to recovery or clinicians growing in their careers. We're seeking a compassionate, driven Outpatient Clinical Supervisor  to co-lead our outpatient therapy team and empower the individuals and families we serve across Maine.  Our Clinical Supervisors deliver direct care alongside their supervisory duties, allowing them to maintain a practical understanding of our field's evolving demands. This isn't just a supervisory role; it's a vital opportunity to lead a team by living our core values of being client-centered, collaborative, growth-embracing, and responsible.

What You'll Do:

As the OPT Clinical Supervisor, you'll be central to delivering high-quality, client-centered care while fostering the development of our hourly clinicians. Initially, this role involves supervising a small team of four fully licensed therapists, with your time split equally: 50% dedicated to direct client care and 50% to supervision and administrative duties. As our team expands, your direct client care responsibilities will gradually decrease, but our goal is to always have you engaged in some direct care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client-Centered Leadership: Lead our team with a client-centered approach, fostering a culture of high-quality program delivery.
  • Direct Clinical Practice:  Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, provide individual therapy, and/or facilitate engaging group counseling sessions.
  • Clinical Supervision & Mentorship: Actively supervise and mentor clinicians, supporting their professional growth, development, and adherence to evidence-based best practices.
  • Treatment Planning & Oversight: Develop and oversee comprehensive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed treatment plans that meet individual client needs. We will collaborate with them to identify their path of growth to get there.
  • Compliance & Documentation Management: You are responsible to maintain accurate and timely documentation for your caseload and support your staff with maintaining quality and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborative Care Coordination: Serve as a vital liaison with internal teams and external partners/stakeholders to ensure seamless and integrated client care.

Why Join Us?

At Alternative Wellness Services, we cultivate a supportive and inclusive work environment where both clients and staff are valued, respected, and empowered. You'll become part of a passionate team dedicated to recovery, professional growth, and making a tangible impact in the lives of others. We invest in our clinicians, knowing that their growth directly contributes to the well-being of our community.

Ready to Lead With Purpose?

If you're eager to lead a dedicated team and contribute to a mission of promoting wellness and healing in our communities, we encourage you to apply today!

Alternative Wellness Services is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.

  • Full licensure - LCSW or LCPC (required)
