What We’re Looking For:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and an active California license.
- Proficiency in clinical Spanish to communicate effectively with our patient base.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose ocular diseases.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and determine appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting findings and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in optometry and related fields through continuous education.
Experience
- Experience in patient care, including taking vital signs and managing medical records.
- Familiarity with medical coding and optical systems is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Dr Rudy Alanis has just recently entered the practice and brings a new dimension to the business. His under grad degree is in Biology, which he received at UC Riverside, and his optometric degree is from Southern California College of Optometry. He focuses on family practice optometry, disease diagnosis and management, and creating patients for life.
Our practice was first established in 1927 in downtown Pomona by Dr. James Worden. In 1960 the practice was relocated to our current facility. In 1963 his son, Dr. Jack Worden joined in the practice.
