Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Assist the orthodontist during procedures such as bonding, bracket/wire/appliance placement and removal, and orthodontic adjustments. Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times. Accurately perform charting activities / document exam findings in the patient records.
• Patient Preparation & Education: Welcome patients, explain procedures, provide oral hygiene instructions, and post-treatment care guidance. Answer questions with empathy and professionalism.
• Instrument & Room Preparation: Sterilize instruments, prepare trays, and maintain a clean, organized treatment area in line with infection control protocols.
• Imaging & Records: Take digital X-rays, impressions, scans, and photographs. Accurately document treatment information and maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records.
• Lab Work: Pour and trim models, prepare appliances, and perform basic lab procedures as needed.
• Equipment & Inventory Management: Maintain and test clinical equipment, monitor inventory levels, and restock supplies.
• Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, assist with front desk/reception/marketing and social media duties..
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dental team to ensure efficient operations, exceptional patient care, and support preventive dental activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an orthodontic dental assistant. (Required)
• Current OA/RDA license. (Required)
• Current CPR certification. (Required)

• Part-Time (1-4 days per week) 
• $22 - $30 per hour
