Job Summary

Children's Dental Center is looking to grow with an Orthodontic assistant! We have a rare opportunity and need the skillset of an experienced orthodontic assistant who has leadership qualities with the ability to train. We operate under the guiding principles of teamwork, education, and compassion, to ensure optimal care for our patients and team. We're seeking individuals with at least 2 year of orthodontic experience to help our existing team grow in orthodontics.

Responsibilities

Assisting the dentist using 4-handed dentistry

Taking & developing dental radiographs

Intra-oral scanning

Preparing teeth for bonding and debonding

Assisting in the placement and removal of appliances

Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; and answering patients' questions

Ensures accurate patient records (treatment planning, medical history)

Takes dental impressions and pours models

Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; and reporting needed changes

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Prepares treatment rooms including decontamination, sterilization, cleaning handpieces and room, restocks supplies

Assist in training current team and new hires in orthodontics

Qualifications

Dental: 2 year (REQUIRED)

Radiology License (REQUIRED)

Expanded Functions (Preferred)

Coronal Polishing (Preferred)

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
