Position Summary:

Ellenville Regional Hospital is seeking a personable, proactive, and mission-driven Outreach and Events Representative to serve as a key ambassador of the hospital. This role focuses on increasing community awareness of hospital services through in-person outreach, tabling at events, and building strong community relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the hospital at community events, health fairs, school functions, and public gatherings.
• Host and manage tabling stations to share information and distribute promotional materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, civic groups, and other partners.
• Coordinate logistics for outreach appearances including scheduling, setup, and breakdown.
• Stay informed about hospital services and initiatives in order to effectively communicate with the public.
• Help promote hospital-led events and health campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.
• Collect and report community feedback to support future outreach efforts.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Frequent travel throughout the hospital's service area to attend events and conduct outreach.
• Ability to work outdoors and stand/sit for extended periods during community events.
• Must be able to lift and transport items up to 50 pounds, including commercial-grade EZ-Up tents, folding tables, and boxes of marketing materials.
• Responsible for setup and takedown of event booths in a variety of weather conditions.

Work Schedule:

• Part-time position with a flexible schedule driven by the outreach calendar.
• Minimum commitment of 0.4 FTE, with potential for additional hours based on departmental needs.
• Availability for daytime, evening, and weekend events is required.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in community outreach, public engagement, customer service, or event coordination preferred.
• Friendly, energetic personality with excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be comfortable speaking to groups and engaging with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
