Job Description - Painter - Part Time

Description

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our hotel maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing painting and finishing tasks to ensure the aesthetic appeal and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.

- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

- Repair and maintain existing paintwork, including touch-ups and refinishing.

- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any painting-related issues.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing tasks.

- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

- Assist in other maintenance tasks as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a painter, preferably in a hotel or commercial setting.

- Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety practices.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.

Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.- F

Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.- O

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at waist. Requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.- O

Vision: Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurements devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.- F
