Panel Saw Operator 1st Shift

The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full-time Panel Saw Operator - 1st Shift to join our team!

Shift: 1st Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Hourly Wage: $20 - $23 per hour based on experience

 Job Summary

As a Panel Saw operator, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring that parts are fabricated to meet work order specifications and customer requirements. This includes operating and setting up Panel Saws, in addition to various CNC and non-CNC production machinery as needed, conducting manual assembly tasks, and adhering to safety and quality standards.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Operate production equipment such as Panel Saw, Sheet Sander, Cutoff Saw, Molder, Shaper. 
• Perform manual assembly and fabrication tasks using hand tools and machines, as necessary.
• Inspect products to ensure they meet company quality, quantity, and customer standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety protocols.
• Assist with troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on production machinery as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.

• High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience. 
• Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in similar manufacturing environment. 
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with Panel Saws, and CNC mills or similar equipment. 

Work Environment 

• This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
