Part-Time After-Hours Cleaner

JOB SUMMARY:

The Part-Time After-Hours Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our primary care office. This role requires a diligent and trustworthy individual who can maintain a pristine environment to support the health and safety of our patients and staff.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean and sanitize exam rooms, hallways, lobbies, employee break rooms, restrooms, corridors, and other work areas.
• Remove trash from all areas of the facility and transport it to the designated dumpster.
• Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including countertops, desks, chairs, and medical equipment.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly to maintain cleanliness.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked with supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
• Disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and reception counters.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stored properly and safely.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team promptly.
• Follow established cleaning protocols and guidelines to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a sterile environment.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment as per guidelines.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in cleaning within a primary care or ambulatory healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cleaning standards and practices specific to healthcare environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving equipment or furniture as necessary.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
