Authorization Specialist

Job Type: Part-time 

Pay: $18.25 - $21.00 per hour DOE   

Hours: 20-30 hrs per week - flexible on work-week schedule

In-office location: Flagstaff facility (no remote)

Responsibilities include:

· Management of ancillary authorizations, for all clinic providers

· Obtaining and following up of authorizations

· Answering patient phone calls directed to authorization specialist

· Answering back-office questions regarding various authorization/insurance rules

· Faxing orders to facilities with notes

· Management of insurance eligibility worklist

Requirements

Position Requirements:

· Medical office, medical billing, and/or patient services experience required

· Exceptional customer service skills

· Must believe in a patient-centered approach

· Outstanding teamwork attitude

· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

· Work at an efficient and fast pace

· Must be self-motivated

· Must have excellent time management skills

Notes about our benefit programs: 

• 40 hours of paid sick time per year for those working less than 25 hrs per week

Medical benefits are only available for those working 30+ hrs per week

• Paid Time Off (PTO) available for those working 25+ hrs per week 

• 401k & 401k ROTH Retirement plan  *After 1 year and 1,000 hours

• $500 credit to be used at FBJ, if you or your family needs care with us
