Part-Time Bilingual Walk-in Clinic Assistant

Primary Responsibilities:

The Walk-in Clinic Assistant performs a wide range of functions, including, but not limited to the following:

• Ensure the waiting room is clean and tidy; set-up chairs outside the clinic prior to opening.


• Prepare coffee, snacks, and other beverages and set-up at front door; clean-up table and package snacks at end of WIC.


• Provide excellent customer service to clients in the waiting room.


• Greet clients and visitors as they enter the clinic, answer questions, and provide guidance or directions.


• Assist clients to connect to Zoom when their appointment is in-person, but their Clinician is virtual.


• Assist with filing and other projects as assigned.

General Responsibilities of El Futuro Staff:

• Participate actively in monthly All Staff Meetings.


• Contribute to a positive work environment by following through on tasks, taking initiative, working with the team and identifying solutions.


• Adhere to El Futuro policies and procedures including meetings and training requirements, ensuring punctuality and attendance, and following personnel policies.


• Play an active role in the continued development of El Futuro’s work via participation in fundraising and other agency-wide activities.


• Be a team player who is ready to support other duties as assigned, in consultation with your supervisor and priority tasks.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.


• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in customer service or related field.


• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken), required. 


• Experience working with the Latino community, preferred.
