Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the president and administrative assistant to maintain accurate financial records and ensure the company’s compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include recording and verifying transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage, and completing tax forms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.

Responsibilities

Enter financial data and transactions into QuickBooks desktop

Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered

Prepare trial balance, Profit & Loss, and project profitability reports

Analyze budgets and other financial information

Complete required tax forms

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

CT CPA License Required

Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

Compensation: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
