Part-Time Caregiver Needed- Moline

We’re hiring a compassionate, dependable caregiver to assist a lovely older adult living in the Moline area. This is a part-time position supporting someone who has lived an adventurous and accomplished life, and now just needs a bit of help staying on track with daily routines.

Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday
• 9:00am – 12:00pm
• (Additional hours may become available.)

Location: Moline/Byron Center area

About the Role:

You’ll be supporting a kind and engaging client who enjoys music, puzzles, gardening, and country drives. This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting one-on-one, can offer thoughtful structure, and brings warmth and reliability to their work.

  Responsibilities Include:

• Medication Cueing & Support:

Help the client stay on schedule with medications using a timed dispenser and clear protocols.

• Meal Companionship & Encouragement:

Assist with or encourage simple meals (breakfast/lunch), and occasionally go out for a bite or accompany the client to social outings.

• Hygiene Assistance:

Offer respectful, light help with bathing or hygiene tasks as needed.

• Companionship & Light Activities:

Engage in favorite hobbies like puzzles, going for a scenic drive, reminiscing about local history, or tidying the garden.

You’re a Great Fit If You:

• Have experience supporting older adults, especially those with mild memory loss or cognitive changes.
• Are reliable, observant, and proactive — you know how to "read the room" and gently guide when needed.
• Take pride in meaningful work and can follow health-related routines with precision.
• Are friendly, patient, and enjoy building rapport through stories, shared routines, or creative activities.
• Able to pass a background check
