Job Description - Part-Time Chinese Teacher

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Chinese Teacher to join our team at The Goddard School of Clarksburg, an early learning center committed to nurturing young minds through engaging, play-based, and culturally enriching experiences.

Position: Chinese Language Teacher
Location: Clarksburg, MD
Start Date: September 15, 2025
Schedule: Part-Time; appox 6-8 hours/week

About the Role:

The Chinese Teacher will introduce and teach Mandarin Chinese language and culture to children in our early childhood classrooms. This includes leading age-appropriate language activities, songs, stories, and hands-on cultural experiences in a fun and immersive environment.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate Mandarin Chinese lessons for toddlers and preschool-aged children

Integrate language learning into daily routines through music, storytelling, and play

Create a culturally rich and inclusive classroom environment

Collaborate with classroom teachers and center leadership to support each child’s development

Maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive atmosphere for all children and families

Qualifications:

Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (native or near-native proficiency)

Experience working with young children in an educational setting

Early childhood education background or certification preferred

Passion for language instruction and cultural exchange

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
