Part Time Cleaner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Part-Time Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of our multifamily units and surrounding grounds. This position is scheduled Thursdays through Mondays, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM each day (15 hours per week).

You’ll play a key role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents by performing routine cleaning duties and helping keep our property looking its best.

Responsibilities:

1. Grounds Maintenance:
   
   
   
   • Conduct daily morning walks around the property to remove litter, debris, cigarette butts, and pet droppings from grounds, including bushes and grass areas.
   
   
   • Empty waste stations and replenish doggy bags to maintain cleanliness in designated pet areas.
   
   
   • Clean up debris in dumpster areas to uphold tidiness and safety standards.
   
   
   
   


2. Unit Cleaning:
   
   
   
   • Clean vacant units according to schedule, ensuring they are presentable for new occupants.
   
   
   • Assist in moving abandoned property and furniture to dump trailers when necessary.
   
   
   • Perform thorough cleaning inside and out, including behind appliances, faucets, sinks, toilets, tubs, blinds, windows, cupboards, shelves, countertops, drawers, and walls.
   
   
   • Sweep, mop, and maintain floors in pristine condition.
   
   
   • Remove debris from back patio/deck and storage areas, sweeping floors and cleaning back siding.
   
   
   • Assist maintenance personnel with minimal repairs as needed.
   
   
   
   


3. Additional Duties:
   
   
   
   • Assist with landscaping tasks as requested by the manager to enhance property aesthetics.
   
   
   • Clean and organize shops, garages, breezeways, clubhouses to maintain orderliness.
   
   
   • Transfer cleaning supplies between units and storage areas as required.
   
   
   • Respond promptly to requests for additional cleaning tasks ("spiffs") from management.
   
   
   • Complete all necessary forms accurately and in a timely manner regarding unit cleaning activities.
   
   
   
   


4. General Responsibilities:
   
   
   
   • Perform all tasks in a neat and efficient manner, including cleaning rags, tools, and equipment, and returning them to designated storage facilities daily.
   
   
   • Maintain a fast-paced, multitasking environment effectively.
   
   
   • Communicate effectively with the manager regarding any supplies needed for cleaning activities.
   
   
   
   

Requirements:

• Work schedules are based on property needs and are subject to change as necessary. Flexibility in scheduling, including potential changes in shift times and days worked, may be required to meet operational demands.


• Prior experience in property maintenance and cleaning preferred.


• Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.


• Excellent attention to detail and dedication to maintaining cleanliness standards.


• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.


• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.


• Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during cleaning and maintenance activities.

Working Conditions:

• The job may require working indoors and outdoors, depending on the cleaning tasks.


• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and fumes is possible, so proper safety precautions should be taken.


• The role may involve lifting and carrying heavy objects, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
