Part-Time Clinical Therapist Assistant

POSITION TITLE:  Part-Time Clinical Therapist Assistant

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Program Manager, the role of the Part-Time Therapist Assistant is to provide intake, referrals and database management, and to collaborate with the Family Therapists to provide case management to youth and their families utilizing the Multidimensional Family Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides intake, referrals and database management for the Parenting of Adolescents program


• Completes substance abuse assessments with referred clients


• Completes preliminary clinical assessment and diagnosis for referred clients


• Documents a summary and clinical recommendation based on assessment and diagnosis


• Collaborates with the Family Therapists to provide case management to youth and their families utilizing the Multidimensional Family Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model


• Meets with families 1 to 4 times per month in the home, office and community to provide clinical case management per Multidimensional Family Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model


• Supports families in court, school meetings and with prosocial youth activities


• Participates in weekly group and individual supervision


• Attends community events and meetings as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

• Minimum of Master Degree in Social Work


• Fluency in English and Spanish strongly preferred


• Experience with intake and referrals


• Experience with database management


• Must be trained in or able to become trained as a Therapist Assistant in the Multidimensional Family Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model


• Strong case management skills


• Experience working with families and youth


• Good organizational abilities


• Strong sense of responsibility for model fidelity
