Part-Time Construction Program Manager (Contract 8 Months)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Program Manager to manage the design and construction of specialized spaces in Washington, D.C. This individual will oversee all phases of the project, from design through completion, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards. The role requires strong technical expertise to support integrated systems, including electrical, HVAC, audio-visual, and IT infrastructure, while coordinating all documentation and installation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end project delivery, including design, engineering, and construction phases.
• Ensure all work meets applicable building codes, federal regulations, safety standards, and client specifications.
• Coordinate design elements to support electrical systems, HVAC, audio-visual components, and IT network infrastructure.
• Manage and review engineering analysis, design documentation, and drawings.
• Oversee and approve installation of critical components, including:
  • Air diffusers
  • Motion detectors
  • Sprinkler systems
• Maintain project documentation and ensure timely submission of required deliverables to the client.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and technical teams to ensure alignment with scope and quality standards.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor compliance, quality, and progress.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all activities comply with security clearance requirements and confidentiality protocols.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing construction and design projects, including integration of building systems.
  • Proven experience with projects involving electrical, HVAC, IT, and AV systems.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (IBC, NFPA, ADA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with security and compliance requirements for sensitive projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Procore) and AutoCAD/Revit preferred.
• Security Clearance: Active clearance required.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
