Position Summary:
The Part-Time Cook prepares and serves meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. The ideal candidate has experience in food service, enjoys working with seniors, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals following menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.


• Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and presented in an appealing manner.


• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.


• Assist with inventory, stocking, and ordering of food and kitchen supplies.


• Follow food safety procedures and regulations.


• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to provide excellent service.


• Communicate effectively with residents to understand and accommodate their dietary needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.


• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Friendly, positive attitude and strong communication skills.


• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Schedule:

• Part-time position (approximately 20–25 hours per week)


• Flexible shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
