Part-Time Custodian

Job Summary:

Loeber Motors Mercedes-Benz is seeking a Part-Time Custodian to join our team at our Lincolnwood, Illinois location. This is a part-time, hourly position with hours available on weekdays in the afternoon and all-day Saturday. There is potential for this position to transition to full-time. This individual contributor role will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our workshop, workshop equipment, and other areas and tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our staff and customers.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Part-Time Custodian role at Loeber Motors Mercedes-Benz offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17 to $18.5 per hour, paid on a weekly basis. This position also offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and organized dealership environment, including but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Empty and maintain trash and scrap metal bins throughout dealership.
- Keep workshop, supply rooms, storage areas, etc. clean and organized.
- Assist in maintaining and organizing inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Communicate any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the dealership management.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
