Position Title: Part-Time Custodian – Weekend Evenings
Location: Pablo Center at the Confluence
Department: Custodial
Reports To: Custodial Manager

Position Overview:
The Part-Time Custodial Person is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the Pablo Center during weekend evening events. This position involves ensuring that the facility is clean, presentable, and safe for patrons attending performances, shows, and other events. The custodial person will work primarily on weekend evenings, aligning with event schedules, and will perform a range of cleaning tasks before, during, and after shows to ensure a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Set-Up & Preparation:
  • Prepare venue spaces by cleaning and sanitizing areas prior to events, ensuring all areas are ready for guests.
  • Ensure restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies and maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas.
• Routine Cleaning Tasks:
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas of the facility, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and event spaces.
  • Clean windows, glass surfaces, and seating areas, ensuring all spaces are spotless and presentable for showtime.
• Post-Event  Clean-Up:
  • After events, clean and reset spaces, picking up trash, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, and disposing of waste in an efficient and thorough manner.
  • Restock supplies in restrooms and ensure they are ready for the next event.
• Safety & Maintenance:
  • Report any safety concerns or maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager in a timely manner.
  • Follow  proper safety procedures while handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, and performing physical tasks.
• Guest Interaction:
  • Occasionally assist guests by providing basic directions or answering questions related to venue amenities, ensuring a positive patron experience.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly wage based on experience.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Availability to work weekend evenings, typically during showtimes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and staff.

Working Conditions:

• This position is part-time and will primarily require evening and weekend availability.
• The work environment is a busy event space, often requiring multitasking and a high level of attention to detail.
