Part-Time Driver

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Driver is responsible for the timely and safe transportation of products and parts by applying knowledge of driving regulations. The Driver will drive to and from designated locations, verifying loads to shipping papers.    

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Load and unload delivery trucks.
2. Verify all parts and deliver to subcontractors.
3. Deliver and pick up items to and from customers as requested.
4. Assist with wrapping pallets of finished orders for shipping.
5. Wrap all individual parts for ground shipments.
6. Ensure company trucks are washed and clean.
7. Complete Shipping & Receiving operations in Epicor.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

1. High School Diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
2. A chauffer’s license and clean driving record a must.
3. Commercial driving experience a plus.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

1. Must have basic computer skills.
2. Must have ability to operate a forklift.
3. Must have ability to multi-task.
4. Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy.
5. Ability to think outside of the box and utilize reasonable deduction.
6. Possess excellent communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Environment: Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor shop environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions. 

Physical: Primary functions require physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to infrequently climb on ladders or stairs; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe shoes and safety glasses, must be worn at all times while in the shop.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction. 

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

1. All employees are to be indoctrinated in the QMS within sixty (60) days of hire.
