Part Time Event Custodian

The Florida State Fair Authority is looking for a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Custodian to help keep our fairgrounds clean, safe, and welcoming. This role is essential in maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation of our offices and restrooms throughout the property. SUMMARY

Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness and facility upkeep for events at the FSFA, including but not limited to public areas, restrooms and offices

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Proper maintenance of offices and restrooms through the Florida State Fairgrounds.
2. Support a clean and orderly environment by emptying trash containers, picking up trash, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
3. Ensure a high level of compliance to safety policies and department protocols are followed and enforced.
4. Read and interpret work orders or receive verbal instructions to determine work assignments, materials, or equipment needs.
5. Additional duties as assigned.
6. Be able to work Nights and Weekends.

• High School diploma or equivalent and valid Driver License required.
• Ability to take direction from management and clients as well as work as part of a team in a production situation.
• Prior custodial experience highly preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must maintain a polished appearance during events while working with the public.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays and must be available on short notice. (In most cases, a 48-hour notice will be provided).
