Part Time Fleet Mechanic - $25.00 Per Hour depending on experience

 Your Future Role:Our fleet mechanic repairs, inspects, and maintains services for cars, trucks, and equipment in our company fleet. In this career, your responsibilities include diagnosing automotive problems, determining their best solutions, and making any necessary repairs to ensure the fleet is running well.
Your Specific Job Requirements:

• Upholds Moana Nursery’s strict safety policies
• Provides superior customer service (Internal)
• Maintains a clean driver's license - We check driving backgrounds
• Have strong mechanical experience and aptitude
• Accountable for maintaining/closing work orders, completion of necessary paperwork and following procedures
• Thoroughly understands scope of work, budget and estimated time to complete each repair
• Solves unexpected problems
• Orders parts and keeps track of receipts (light paperwork responsibilities)
• Ensures quality of completed work meets Moana Nursery standards 
• Road-tests vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Keeps project on schedule and communicates when it is not
• Evaluates what went right and what went wrong with project
• Has strong willingness to learn, take direction to task and grow.
• Maintains positive dynamic attitude with the ability to recover quickly from setbacks.
• Has dependable and driven personality
• Has basic computer, email and internet proficiency

Physical Requirements & Activity:

• This position works outside 12 months a year in all conditions, Some nights
• Applicant must be able to lift 75 lbs
• Applicant must be able to stand, bend over, and kneel for long periods of time 
• Applicant must be able to crawl under vehicles and equipment

Expertise & Experience Requirements:

• At least 1 year Automotive Shop experience required
• Automotive Secondary School a Positive
• Basic Small Engine repair knowledge
• Valid Clean NV Drivers license
• Applicant must have an OSHA-30 or be able to obtain one
• Read and Perform repairs based on work orders

Nice To Have Skills or Experiences: 

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Commercial Drivers License (CDL) (Not Required)
• Basic Welding Skills
• Basic Hydraulic repair knowledge
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Your Future Work Schedule:Our fleet shop is open  6 days a week serving our business that operates 7 days per week.  We are looking for a teammate that can work Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 5 pm.  Occasional overtime is required as well as on call time during snow removal operations.
