Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated preschool Teacher to join our team and provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive growth, and ensuring the safety and well-being of each child. The ideal candidate will have a love for working with children and a commitment to their educational and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment for children aged [insert age range, e.g., 1-2-3-4-5 years old].
- Plan, prepare, and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote the development of motor skills, social skills, language, and cognitive abilities.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing individualized attention as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages cooperation, respect, and emotional development.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about the child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's developmental milestones, behaviors, and educational achievements.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and participate in school-wide events and activities.
- Assist with meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patient, caring, and energetic with a genuine love for teaching young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
